Morning,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience or advice they would like to share about any they have. I notice in the highstreet they have those turtle beach ones but they are fairly expensive. Needs to double as a microphone headset as well as having decent sound quality as well.

Cheers.

I own a pair of x11's i got mine for around £40-45. Very decent set of headphones and mic. Dont bother waste your money on the others unless you really want to have wireless and 7.1 surround. But that will mean you will have to keep replacing batteries.

I find the headsets to be very comfortable and are very good for my needs.
The X11's are powered by usb lead, and the length is very long.

Yeah, I'm currently on the PX21's, £60 but do all 3 platforms, I think identical in most aspects to the X11's and they are good enough for gaming etc..

Anything is better that the standard headset that comes with the 360. :o

My sister has a pair of Turtle Beach X11's, I'd never even heard of the brand before but after using them for a few hours they're pretty good, great sound quality and the mic is pretty good too.

Astro A40's and Mixamp here - what batteries -

Best £200 I ever spent.

This tbh. I'd rather play with no TV than no Astros. :p

However... If he's complaining about the cost of the turtle beach jobbys I expect they're out of his price range.

OP really needs to provide how much he's willing to spend before any appropriate recommendations are given.

Ye £200 is a bit much, I would puch to £60-70.

Looks like a few models from the turtle beach fit my budget and they will be a big improvement over my current set up. Thanks for the replies.
