Hello,
I went to visit a friend of mine who has been using the same Samsung SyncMaster 206BW as I have been using for the past 3 and a half years. He has recently bought an Acer V243HAObd .
Seeing the monitors side by side made me realise that I would benefit an aweful lot from an upgrade. I have not bought a monitor for a long time and I was wondering if anyone could help me with a few questions:
1. I can seem to see any mention of dead/stuck pixel policies on any montiors. Are these issues still common and what is the usual policy in regard to them?
2. I know that gamers tend to prefer the lowest possible response time but I understand that the human eye has problems noticing differences below 10ms. Does anyone have any experience gaming on a 5-8ms monitor?
3. Could anyone recommend any decent 23-24" monitors, hard budget of £300 but I would prefer to pay less than £200. The monitor is for gaming, all types of gaming, web serfing and very, very occasionally I watch a film on it, but I would normally use my TV for that job.
