I've decided to purchase a new monitor http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-051-IY and I'm also looking to upgrade my Gpu from my current 9500gt.. I would like something that would allow to game at 1920x1080 for around £100 or less.. preferably one that dosen't need it own power supply and with DX11 support .

My other specs are phenomx2 550 @3.6ghz - 4gb ddr2 ram - 580w psu.

I'd be grateful for any advice.

I have a 5770 and it plays 1920 x 1080 games without a sweat. Pretty certain it will run an eyefinity setup on the single card as well.

Ok Semple.. but would it be the same on a 24" screen?.. my major worry is a blurry picture,I'm currently using a 19" @ 1280 x 1024 with my 9500 gt and it's very sharp.. so i was hoping to switch to a larger widescreen with atleast the same picture quality.

A little late to the party, I know, but just to back up what Semple said I would recommend the 5770 too. It's the same speed as a 4870 (but better as it's cooler, less power consumption, DX11, Eyefinity support) and I know from experience that a 4870 will play (nearly) everything with all settings on High at 1920x1080. You might not be able to enable full AA but I really don't think you'll be disappointed - especially coming from a 9500GT. :)

Enjoy!
