Advice on monitor

Finished building PC based on
AMD R9 7900
GPU Gigabyte Radeon RX 7800 XT GAMING OC 16GB

Now looking for suitable monitor
Need a 4K monitor
100Hz or better
27” … or up to 32” but no bigger

I don’t do any gaming, this is for video editing (DaVinci) and image processing (Lightroom)

Don’t want to spend silly money, so looking for recommendations of models or manufacturers. Previously been Dell Alienware or HP

I have BenQ solar panels on my roof .... not used their monitors, I'll take a look at what they do.

Good looking monitor and 4K 165Hz with 0.03 refresh, and 1.5m:1 contrast ratio is a very nice specification .... but £850 seems too high ....No real budget. but was assuming £400 - £500 as this seems to be the good quality 'mid point' ... above the £150 screens.
Maybe something will turn up in Jan.

Consider your viewing distance and eye sight as if you need to scale the UI to make it readable you lose some of the benefits of 4K.

Sorry, I am curious. Why do you need 100Hz for video editing?

I have a fair amount of footage that is taken as 4K at 100fps
so assumed I need 100Hz to match.

I think a lot depends on the contrast you want. If you are adjusting contrast and brightness for video then you may want OLED so that you have the best picture possible.

Agree that OLED would give better contrast ratio.
