Advice on MSI GE66 Raider 15.6" i7, RTX 3070

Hi all,

My name is Abeed Fayaz. I'm looking for a decent gaming laptop and to be honest I am pretty clueless about this sort of thing and I was wondering if I could get some insight about the above laptop? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I've got it, but prefer the Lenovo Legion 5 (non-pro).

Had mine for about 4-5 months now and it's been pretty great tbh. Performs amazing in games and I've got it set now with some Throttlestop/Afterburner tweaks so that the CPU goes no higher than 80 degrees and the GPU no higher than 75 degrees at high loads which is very good for a gaming laptop. That's also with a 140W vBIOS flashed to the 3070 gfx card to increase the TDP from the stock 130W limit plus a decent overclock. The GE66 also seems to be very well built and just feels very "solid" which definitely hasn't been the case with some other gaming laptops I've had from different manufacturers.

Main downside for me is the lack of adaptive sync or G-sync, but tbh I have barely noticed any tearing whatsoever so far whilst gaming.
