ADVICE ON MY CURRENT INTERNET SITUATION

Hi all,

just had a new rig build for future gaming and so on but my problem now is that I have cancelled my 02 internet last friday and i will be out of internet by tomorrow. I have ordered bt infinity today and that will definitely not be here by monday or tuesday.....as most of you guys will know that DIABLO 3 will be out on monday at 11pm uk time. Now i am going to be out of internet....my question is ...should i use BT OPENZONE for a few days untill i get my bt running or shall i get a usb internet dongle with some network....i will be needing at least some type of good speed to fully enjoy the game....

I cant believe that i am in this situation as i have pre-purchased diablo 3 yesterday from battlnet and have it now at the screen saying "the fire from the sky still falls, diablo 3 has not yet launched". wich is obvious as it hasnt launched yet.....i am just ahem going mad at the moment....

Just wait? Both will be terrible for online gaming being wireless.

I would wait but i just dont want to....i mean if both are terrible...then isnt their any other option ?

Could tether your phone if you have one capable of doing it. But the pings will suck that it won't be worth it.

Just wait. You've waited over 10 years, whats a few extra days anyway.

that is very true indeed...i have a lot going on as im just starting also my business up which is importing tyres to the uk...but diablo 3 was something that i thought was finally gonna put my mind at ease...only thing in my life that relaxses me is gaming and my wife...

On good speaking terms with the neighbours?. Maybe you could pick up and hook into their wireless network?.

Well there isn't really anything else you possibly could do is there?

What I don't get is why you didn't migrate your connection - why cancel and place a new order when you could've just got a MAC code from o2 and used that to migrate to BT Infinity? You would've had no downtime then.

Got downtime as he cancelled o2 then ordered Infinity rather than migrate between the two, by the sounds of the first post

i have called customer services and they said that tomorrow i will be told when my internet is active and when the installation will take place...altought i told her over the phone that i had bt 2 years ago and therefore what type of installation do they need to do..she was unsure of that and hence i have to call in tomorrow once my internet is gone... and i will talk to my neighbour today as i occasionaly get his post as he doesnt be at home....gonna give it a shot.

Tbh just wait it out unless you can "borrow" someones wifi.

Yeah realised that then edited my post accordingly

Still don't know why he did that when you can easily migrate between the two though.
