Hi,
I'm looking to build my first computer and have a budget of £1100-£1300.generated the following list of parts that meet my budget. I hope this system will be future proof (for minimum 3-4 years) and will be using it mainly for gaming, my university work and some light photo/video editing.I just want some advice from you guys to check that this would be a decent rig and also for any changes that you suggest I should make before I purchase it all.
The components I have chosen are as follows:
YOUR BASKET
1 x "Quasar 210i" Intel Core i5 4670K @ 4.2GHz Overclocked Haswell Gaming PC Bundle £374.99
- 1 x Standard Build Systems - Approximately 5-7 working days £0.00
- 1 x Kingston HyperX Genesis Blue 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX) £59.99
1 x Asus GeForce GTX 770 DirectCU OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £359.99
1 x Samsung 250GB SSD 840 SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TD250BW) £133.99
1 x Seasonic G series 650w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £99.98
1 x Pioneer BDR-208DBK 15X Dual layer BluRay RW / 16x DVDRW Black - OEM £79.99
1 x Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST2000DM001) HDD £67.99
1 x Corsair Carbide 300R Mid Tower Case - Black £65.99
1 x Corsair Hydro H60 V2 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (Socket LGA2011 / 1150 / 1366 / 1155 / 1156 / AM2 / AM3) £59.99
Total : £1,324.32 (includes shipping : £17.85).
I would like to keep the cost nearer to the £1200 mark so any ideas on reducing the cost would be helpful.
Thanks
Bali

I think that's that then eh, I would never have thought to go with the alternatives you've suggested. I can't thank you enough for all your help.
