Hey there.

I asked this last week and decided to wait a while and think about it before ordering.
Can you tell me if this is a good choice of components for my new pc?

Here is the spec

Antec Nine Hundred Ultimate Gaming case

Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-520HXUK)

Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

Intel Core 2 DUO E6400 "LGA775 Allendale" 2.13GHz (1066FSB) - Retail

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C5 800MHz Value DDR2 Dual Channel Kit

BFG GeForce 8800 GTS OC 320MB GDDR3

Samsung SpinPoint T HD400LJ 400GB SATA-II 8MB Cache - OEM

Scythe Ninja Plus Rev.B Heatpipe CPU Cooler

Samsung SH-W183 18x18 DVD±RW Serial ATA Dual Layer ReWriter

Does that look good?
Will the power supply be enough?
I want to try and overclock the E5400 to about 3.GHz but after reading in the overclocking section i see that memory seems to be a big factor in overclocking the CPU, and also the motherboard

Will that memory be ok with that motherboard and the E6400? I am new to overclocking so i would not really want to fiddle with the memory any more than a small easy tweak.

Also would i need to update my motherboards BIOS ?
(i dont even know what that means let alone what it does or how to do it :D )

Apart from that, will all the things there have all the cables and wires needed to assemble them properly?

Oh, and does the Synth Ninja come with its own thermal paste?

Id swap the E6400 for an E4300. It should clock to 3.0Ghz easy, even on stock cooling, mine does. Save yourself a few quid, maybe get a bigger PSU?

Other than that looks pretty good.

I dont know much about the Titan cooler, but the Skythe is one of the best going as far as I know. Id probably stick with it and save yourself some cash there too.

yeah thanks man, after reading some reviews that titan is far to big and complicated for my needs so i will buy either the Scythe Ninja or the Tuniq tower.

I have been trying to decide over the E4300 and the E6400 all weekend. I dont want to do TO much overclocking so the E6400 seems the best choice for me. The fact that the E4300 starts at 1.8GHz just dont seem good enough.

Im about to order in the next couple of hourse so any other help the other questions in the first post would be apreciated.
Is the Corsair 520w PSU good enough for that rig, even overclocked?

Does that memory fit in well with the motherboard and processor?

Oh and i changed the motherboard from the Asus SLI 650 to the ds3 because i read here it was better and easier for a "noob" like me, is that accurate?

What makes you think that board is better? to be honest i have been reading reviews about the ds3 and 650 and would only be comfortable picking one of those boards at this stage.

Here is my basket

I am going to attempt to build it myself, doubt i will manage it but will try anyway :)

I just hope i have not forgotten something that i need, cables ect

Ordered yet? Id still go for the E4300 over the E6400. With that cooler 3.0ghz is a safe overclock. With that 3D card id put the money saved on the CPU towrads a bigger monitor. Is that Dell 20" Widescreen still on at £199ish its a good monitor.

Here it goes, http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-012-DE £205.

Ive recently built a very similar rig to yours and dont regret getting the E4300 for a second. I intend to uprade to quad core towards the end of the year, depending on prices, so didnt want to go crazy on the CPU at the moment.
