Hi,

As the title says I'm after a new ADSL router. My current Netgear DG834PN is giving up on me with constant connection drops.

I can't seem to find anything that really sticks out.

I'd really like to have a better wireless connection in my new router as it hasn't got the best connection downstairs (signal is going though solid walls).

Needs to support a couple of PC's gaming at the same time.

Also my PC uses a wired connection to the router so a 1000mb/s slot would be good (if that makes a difference) :)

Budget: I don't really want to spend more that £130 and for that price it REALLY has to be worth it

Thanks in advance

+1 on the billion. I first bought an Asus DSL-N55U but had to return it as it was faulty. Since adding the billion my internet speed has increased and you can tweak the SNR within reason to increase it even more I gained about 3mbps.
The wifi range is also very good. I live in a 3 bedroom brick house and the router is in the front room. I can get a usuable signal as far as 80ft in the back garden. Will stretch to about 100ft on a good day but its slugish.

Pings are also the lowest I've had. I get 10-15ms on my most used CSS server which is much better than the 25-35 i was getting before. So would be ideal for you if gaming is a concern.
So yeah If you have that sort of budget I cat really recomend any thing else.

This is probably related to fastpath and interleaving.

Just logged into my ADSL24 control pannel and Interleaving is on. Managed to get my SNR down to around 1.5 on the billion and has been up for over 8 days. I could turn interleaving off but I would have to adjust the SNR again.

Might want to edit out your IP address ;)

Is that Billion a Modem/Router in one? Also is that Asus DSL-N55U modem router in one too? I'm after a new Modem Router myself for ADSL2+ that can stream HD stuff pretty good to the next room without constant buffering. Thin hollow walls (plasterboard) just need something better than my speedtouch 780 that can stream HD stuff to my boxee without the buffer coming up every 45 secs. That's streaming 720p films, 720p tv shows work fine.
