Advice on new build (rig)

As my Rig is now unable to play the high intensity games which will be released such as BF3 COD3 etc I am looking to upgrade to play these in a decent FPS and obviously to run future games.

My budget consists of £950 max

I do not need a monitor, I have windows and I do not need a mouse or keyboard.

I am looking at Intel cores and getting the best value for money really.

Hope someone can help

That would be an example... Dunno if you need hard drives, optical, case, or even PSU, but anyways...

what parts does your current PC have. it might be a very simple upgrade to make it game ready again

Case (old)
Athlon 64 (6400)
Motherboard (old)
4gb DDR2
Radeon 5770
500mb hdd (old)

I only could really use the PSU that's about it but might as well leave this rig as it is and just start again.
