Hi all,

I've been reading these pages for a while now but was having problems registering due to my e-mail addy but that's all sorted now so here I am finally!! :D

I've waited ages for the dual core 3800 to drop in price so I've finally ordered one along with an Arctic Cooling Pro 64 HSF and an Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe Crossfire Mobo.

Other bits I'll probably get are:

Hiper Type R 580W PSU
Lexa NZXT case
Maxtor Diamondmax Plus 300GB HD

But I'm not 100% sure on what graphics card & RAM to get.

For the GFX card, I was looking at a HIS 1900XTX, as it's only £265 on another site and I think getting crossfire would be overkill at the moment. As for the RAM, I'm stuck. I do wanna overclock my rig so I'll need headroom for that. I was looking along the lines of either:

Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200C2PT or Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3500LL

Any comments/suggestions greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forums, an X1900XTX is a great card and unless you are playing at very high resolutions Crossfire (or SLi) isn't really worth it. If you want to get everything from the same place then OcUK has an X1900XT for ~£250 I think and you could overclock but it depends on postage charges if that works out worthwhile I suppose :)

I'd probably pick whichever is the cheaper of the Ram, I don't know too much about Ram but I believe that you can run A64/X2s quite happily on a divider if necessary.
