Advice on new card...

If you game on 19" or below go for the 5750 512mb, if above 19" go for the 1024mb one. Not sure about the 4850 though.

£82 for HD4850 -madness, this card can be purchased for £30-£40 ...

Get 2nd handed HD4850 if you want it, but I'd go for newer HD5xxx series!

if you can up it 2 an extra 20 quid or so try and get the 5770. much better valur 4 money imo.

Either a 2nd hand GTX260 216 at around £60, or a new GTX460 768MB at around £115~£130.

The MSI 5750 1024MB overclocked would be the fastest by a decent margin.

I'd like to stay with ATI and I'll be playing at 1920x1080.

For that sort of money and that resolution it's going to be hard, try going second hand ATI 5830 or better, Nvidia 260 or better, otherwise games will seem "Slideshow like"

lol, out of the cards you've chosen, go for the 1024mb MSI HD5750 - it's actually CHEAPER than the 512mb HIS 5750 and they are both stock clocks. There is no reason to get the one with less memory especially since it's CHEAPER!!.
