Hi, I am looking to buy a new laptop and know roughly what sort of specs I am looking for but would like advice from someone who knows what they're talking about.

I'm looking for an all purpose laptop for no more than £650. I will just be using it for general internet use, frequent use of Microsoft office and for low requirement games such as Football manager. I would just like a fast, multifunctional laptop that is very reliable and will not break easily or its performance will not slow easily. Battery life is not a priority but more is obviously preferable.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't think FM has very high requirements, but for any kind of gaming a dedicated card is best.

For not to demanding games anything with a 940m or better + 8gb ram should see it run ok but if you can get a faster card like a 950 or 960 then that will increase the number of games you can play.

A quad core processor would also be preferable as again it gives you more choice

I'm waiting for Black Friday to see if I can get a good deal on a new laptop and I expect their will lots of offers over that weekend so you should find what your after
