Not upgraded for a while so thought I would now so i dont get totally left behind.

My current spec is in sig. I was thinking of getting:-

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4800+ (Socket 939) - Price: £189.99 (£223.24 Including VAT at 17.5%)

ATI Radeon X1950 XT-X ***Crossfire/Master Edition*** SILENT Heatpipe 512MB GDDR4 (PCI-Express) - Price: £274.99 (£323.11 Including VAT at 17.5%)

DFI LanParty UT CFX3200-DR RD580 Crossfire (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard - Price: £64.99 (£76.36 Including VAT at 17.5%)

Reason i'm staying sck939 is that my mem is fairly new, and cant really afford to get some DDR2 mem for sckAM2

Few questions I have:-

Will I need a new psu?, my true blue is the 1st ver. not the 2.0 ver. or are there connectors out there that can convert it? plus also is 480w gonna be enough?

This question may seem abit noobish, lol. I dont need a slave gfx card for the master to work do I? eg the whole crossfire thing, I will eventually get a slave gfx card but not straight away.

If anyone would like to comment on my choices/bad choices??? feel free.

crossfire master card will work fine on its own as a single card, although if your not going to get crossfire yet, why not buy a normal x1900 now, save the difference and go for a conroe with 2gig of DDR2, sell your current ddr1 aswell if its decent. Also going from a 4800 (£200+) and getting an e6300, which will wipe the floor with the 4800 once its Oc'd anyway, and that will save you another £100, although the motherboard will clearly be more than the 580, anyway i can spec you an allendale alternative if you want, or im sure someone else will
