Ok at the moment I have a cable/dsl Linksys router. Now I want to have a computer down stairs and instead of wiring everything up I want to have it on wireless but keep the other computers still on cable. So what I need to have is a wireless router that I can still link the ethernet cables to and then have a wireless card for my pc downstairs. So I am just wondering what router I should go for and what card to use. What is the best make etc.

Thanks.

Any wireless router will have switch ports for connecting machines to.
The Linksys WRT54GL is a fairly popular router because you can stick all sorts of third-party firmware on it which give features not in the default Linksys. It's cheap too :p
