can anyone help me? i have a MBD-X10SLM-F motherboard what would be a good mid range CPU to put in it? i am new to PC building.

Welcome aboard.
That old LGA 1150 board won't take any CPU which would be even at current basic level.
Which is 6 cores/12 threads.
For web surfing/word processing and such light uses those old quad cores do well.
But for gaming they're going to get crushed even by next-gen consoles.
