Advice on Overclocked Bundle Cooler Choice
Hey everyone,
I have had the upgrade itch for months now (normally do it over xmas time) and am finally looking to overhaul my system to i7 + 5870. I am starting to fiddle around with some video encoding and although I will mostly be using it for gaming, I hear the i7 is the one to go for.
As such, I'll probably be getting the pre-overclocked i7 920 @ 4ghz bundle from the store. I have a question or two about which cooler option to choose though. Normally I would just go with the titan as it gets great reviews and everyone seems to love it (and how it looks for all that matters). However, I have a Corsair TX power supply and it has the fan at the bottom, so it is directly over spot the cpu cooler will sit. I wouldn't normally even think about something like that, but I read somewhere in another thread this can lead to temperature problems due to it fighting the cooler for the airflow. No idea how big an issue that is to be honest.
So given that, would people recommend going for a different cooler option? Perhaps the h50? And if so, how reliable is it? Is it a fully contained system that you do not have to alter / change water eery x months etc?
Thanks in advance,
GiR
