Hi guys - currently have 4600 x2 o/ced to 2700MHz with 2GB ram
Enermax Liberty 620 PSU, 250 + 500GB SATA WD hdd, ASUS dvd ATA 66, NEC 4571A DVDRW. Samsung 22" LCD monitor 1680x1050. 2.1 Boston speakers Should I ditch the floppy?
Looking at:
CPU Yorkfield

Case Antec 182 - dust filters as I live in studio flat & get quite a bit of dust in current Antec case. Will have 12cm fans & psu at bottom = better cooling?

Mobo ASUS P45Q-E Don't really need 2nd LAN but it has power & reset buttons on mobo + Q connect. Seems it should be good for reasonable o/c.
6 SATA ports + eSATA

RAM DDR2 4GB Leaning towards Corsair or OCZ. Won't touch Crucial with a bargepole:eek:

HSF Thermaright TRUE This appears to be one of the best if it fits in the case.

Fans Noctua P12

HDD Western Digital 500GB GP (RE2 for 5 yr warrenty?) Don't need RAID.
What size partition for Windows?

Graphics Card 9600GT or 8800GT are they both DX10?

DVDRW - SATA Don't burn a lot but want something reliable & not v noisy.
Pioneer, Samsung or Sony?

Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bi
t - happy with XP but want access to +4GB oF RAM

Budget ~ £6-700.

Not hard core gamer, more strategy than FPS. Watch a lot of video - I think my monitor is HD HCP

Thanks for any suggestions.

Everything looks ok,get the 8800GT instead of the 9600 or if you dont mind hanging on a bit and adding a new gen gfx card to your spec would probz be better :)
dont ditch the floppy :) always handy to have 1 about :)

Ta for that but what new gfx? Isn't a new NVidia a month away from launch?

the Forum is loaded with posts saying the new cards are out in june,if you cant hang on then get the 8800GT :) really good cards at a Very low price :)

Thanks for the input. I will wait & seen what the new graphics cards are like as I have to wait for the mobo. I has seen quite a few comments re the Samsung F1's will check them out.
Any thoughts about RAM?
