Hi, wonder if someone can steer me in the right direction.

I took my DSLR out yesterday and photographed some friends doing a Driving Experience day in various cars.

Now they only have an iPad. I do not have an iPad so unsure of the following.

How can I get the photo's that I took onto the iPad for them.

I have a laptop. They do, but they hardly use it since buying the iPad.

Just wondered what the best route would be.

Thank you

What did you shoot? Are you exporting to jpg or are you in RAW?

In RAW it'd be horrible, in Jpg, just upload it to Flickr and send them the link?

I think you can save Dropbox files to your iPad now as well, so could try that with a shared link.

I shot in RAW, but will edit in LR and export as JPEG for them 1st anyhow.

I do not have Flickr, but I shall get it if that would work.

If you want them physically available on the iPad, it's pretty easy to sync photos from a folder in iTunes to the iPad.

Online - lots of options as above for remote hosting. Flickr (photo focus, community, large storage), Dropbox (less free storage) and I also really like the interface for viewing on Skydrive which is my prefered method to share with family (via a http link).

It's a pain just for a one-off, but Dropbox makes it very easy once you have an account on your Desktop and they have Dropbox on their iPad. I've done this so I can share photos simply with my Mother's iPad. You can choose a specific folder on your Dropbox to be shared with another named user.

The iPad is a great bit of kit in many ways, but if they added an SD slot life would be so much simpler in all sorts of circumstances. But no, that would be too easy. :-)
