Advice on Possible Upgrade

Current spec:

Intel i7 920
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Motherboard
6GB Patriot Viper DDR3
Asus Radeon HD 5870 1GB graphics card
Corsair HX 750W PSU

I'm looking to upgrade to play newer games, such as Wildstar and Titanfall. I can't afford much so I'm looking to upgrade as little as possible within reason.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The first i7's are still pretty good, perhaps just upgrade GPU to a 290? Is the cpu overclocked?

A new GPU would be a good starting point, I'd be looking at an R9 280 or 280X

CPU is not overclocked, it came as an overclocked package (D0 stepping SLBEJ) but I've lost the settings

and don't know where to find them again!
