Its for my works office.
They have a new Samsung laser/fax/photocopy all in one printer that has built in ethernet. They want to let all 3 office pc's share it, problem is the office pc's are old and not even networked together.
Only one has internet access via the supplied BT Voyager 220 which only has 1 ethernet port so i cant hook the rest of them up.
So basically, can i get the other pc's to share the printer without getting a new router or is there some other way to share the printer with all 3 pc's?
I'd have to buy a network card for both the other pc's as they really are that old!

You can fiddle with USB switch boxes and things but would be easier to bung in a £5 network card to the PCs that need it and attach a small switch to the existing router. Then point the computers to the printers IP address when installing it.

Windows 98 on 2 machines, none of which have LAN but do have a massive 2 usb ports. The third machine is less than a year old dell jobbie, with a half decent G35 chipset and now a E6300 to replace the celeron scrap that came with it.

Ordered an OCUK Value switch, 2 cheapo network cards, and 3 cables from ocuk this afternoon so i'll have to see how i get on setting it all up when it comes. No idea how to tbh lol.
