Hello,

I'm a relative beginner so haven't taken the steps towards building a PC yet (although, after seeing the help here I think I will buy the stuff from here and build one!)

I ordered a PC a month ago and it arrived in a warped case - internal bays weren't fixed in properly because of it etc.

Sent it back and the it arrived to me today in a new case. But now the floppy drive's face isn't flush at the front of the case like everything else - it's set back 3cm deep into the case.

I've only ever owned one PC but I am correct in saying that the drives should be aligned flush at the front, right? I mean, all I can see happeneing is dust getting in the case if I was to use what they've built.

Just hoping someone with more experience can confirm my thoughts. Thanks.

The floppy drive should be flush with the case front, you can easily sort it yourself with a phillips screwdriver if you want. I'm not so sure about returning it though for that, it is probably too minor to warrant a return. :)

^ read above. the floppy drive will come right out of the case if you simply unscrew it. just align it with a different set of holes.

To be honest, It's just been a poor service with delays and no response/rudeness from CS etc and I've lost confidence in the company. I appreciate things can be altered, but as I paid for it to be built properly and twice it's come with things which build issues (however small). Other people who have seen the build have said the overall wiring is a mess. Whether you think so or not, here it is: image removed

Anyway, it's seems a simple fix - thanks for your responses as always.

If you think that is a mess you should see the inside of my case. :D

It is a simple fix to change the position of the floppy drive but if you aren't happy with the service let them know, you can always see what they say about the return. :)

heh! I lifted the yellow plug things which are holding all the drives in place within their bays, and moved it forward and put them back so it's ok now. Wasn't a big thing once done but just wary or altering things without much knowledge.

The only other thing is the black HDD (?) cable that is attached to the floppy drive. It has "tears" in it unlike the other cables and is twisted - image removed

Just checking this is normal too. Apologies, if my lack of knowledge is annoying!

Nah the twist is fairly normal - I wouldn't worry about it. Honestly if you don't ask the questions you'll never know the answer. Ask away but don't be afraid of Google :)
