Advice on removing a problem neighbor.

It seems his idiotic action calling out the armed response team has landed him on remand for the next few months as he's broken some bail condition  (I didn't even know he was on bail) so my neighbour will get some peace for a while at least. Not sure whether or not Torus will take this opportunity to move his stuff out and move a better person in or not but it's a good thing for the whole street.

Cheers for the replies all, not to mention some interesting and oddly creative suggestions :D

Find your local councillor's email address and contact them. Make sure they know that Torus don't appear to be interested in resolving this, despite your numerous attempts at contacting them.

It could also be worthwhile emailing Torus again and mention that you're now getting your local councillor involved.

See if you can find the name of a local and friendly PCSO and make contact with them too.

While I'm thinking about it, your council will have a team that deals with antisocial behaviour. Reach out to them too.

Was just going to post - if the police are able to identify the scumbag as being responsible for the ‘swatting’ call he isn’t going to be let out with a telling off for something like that. I’d imagine irrespective of his previous bail conditions he might well have been looking at spending time at his majesty’s pleasure anyway.

Right, I'm back.

I may have told this tale here before. I had a neighbour who got angry. One time he got angry at two cleaning ladies, and started throwing stuff at them. At this point I happened on the scene and intervened, ushering the ladies to safety and calling the police. My being a large and imposing man undoubtedly helped keep him away until the police arrived. He was arrested and pled guilty. This had a salutary affect and he was no longer a problem, though he moved away a year or so later. It was getting arrested and the consequences thereof that turned things around.

Are you aware that Torus have had a reprimand from no less than the Secretary of State? I'm sure they don't want to blot their copybook further.

When you are contacting officialdom, e-mails are easy for them to ignore. If you get no response then use a letter or go and see them.

I concur with this. Serious stuff should go in a letter. Registered post if that still exists.

All the more reason to contact the councillor and perhaps even the MP then. From them not replying to any of the OPs emails and your link, they sound a bit of a shambles so far.

Perhaps a letter to some higher up people within the company would help too?

Edit: Their TrustPilot score of 1.8 isn't exactly reassuring either.

Had no idea they were considered that bad
My last place was a private landlord who decided to skyrocket the rent so I had a limited amount of time to find another place and this was the 1st thing that came up. The place itself is quite nice, a bit smaller than i'd like but nice enough and no problems with it as yet (aside from that pillock the post was about) but if any do develop I will know why. Thanks for pointing these things out
