Advice on renegotiating Virgin contract

My contract is up this month and i'm basically stick with Virgin as I can't get Sky (trees blocking the signal) but I feel like i'm paying too much. Does anyone have any opinions on what sort of money I should be paying and how to best negotiate with Virgin?

they do not know you cannot get sky ?
so spec what it will cost if you joined sky and ring up virgin with a fait accompli .. "I am leaving unless you can approach the Sky price"
With a different package, that is the strategy I used, *providing* you have done your homework and can confidently explain the sky package/cost to virgin.

Also do you really need those call packages?
