Hi,

Recently (3 months ago) my power supply exploded when I was using my PC, so at the time I thought "Hey simples replace the PSU and job done" so I replaced it and second I turned it on it went "BANG!" so now I am thinking well my PC was getting pretty old anyway so maybe I will just by a bundle and a PSU and that will fix it.

So before I go out and buy a bundle and a psu to replace it do you guys think anything apart from the PSU, Motherboard, Ram, CPU could have caused the blowing up?

Also on another note is there a bundle that would go specifically well with a: ATI 6870 1024MB?

The components in it were originally from OCUK and bought in 2008 so I think I am due an update:

Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR Edition" Retail / OcUK Value IP35 Pro Intel P35 Motherboard / 4GB OCZ PC-6400 Reaper Dual Channel DDR2 Kit - Bundle

How long since,

You have rewired the house?
Had and electrical check?

maybe a surge protector would be wise.

It sounds like you have a fault external to the computer but as above what make of PSU. Your spec is not very high so a good branded 600w would be OK.
