Advice on RMA

Hello Chaps,

Need some advise, My Asus ati 3870 x2 has Died, it has been sent off for RMA to some repair Centre in the UK, if they give me a replacement what should i accept if they dont have the same card to give me? I dont want to get ripped off!!!

The 4890 is better than the 3870x2 so is probably a 4870 1gig too. You would get me jealous if you got a 58 series because i'm getting a straight replacement for my gubbed 4870 toxic from sapphire.
 
hahah i doubt it, Asus wont be that generous, but i hope they accept the RMA, because the card was buggered, just wanted to make sure i get a good replacement if they offer it. I have to use a rubbish 2600XT at the moment.
 
Forgot to ask anybody dealt with ASUS rma, i had to send it to creative computing in glasgow? they said the turn around is withing 21 days.
 
yeh i hope they quick and dont mess around did you have to pay for the £16 shipping?? this is for them to send the card back to us? thought that was a bit cheeky.
 
yeh me 2, when did you send yours off? they got my parcel today, because i know the card needs to be replaced, and im sure they wont have a 3870x2, i just hope they dont try and fob me off with a lower end card.
 
I just read there FAQ, they test the card there end, and if it can be repaired they send it off to Asus Europe, and this can can take about month before they get it back, Damb hope mine cant be repaired.
