Advice on second hand PC

I have been offered £400 for a second hand system. Does this seem reasonable or should I throw an offer his way?
As follows:
NZXT White Case
Ryzen 5 2600x
Nvidia RTX 2070 Super
Hyper X RAM (24gb)
2TB HDD
Aqorus Motherboard

I play 1080p @144hz, newer releases (tuned settings) aswell as League of Legends, Overwatch 2.

reasonable, go for it
would also check what ram speed and combination it has. 24gb sounds a bit dodgy - probably running 2x8+2x4, ideally you'd want 2x8 (or 4x8)
also make sure it has an ssd or put one in yourself then reinstall windows after

Arguably a great deal - even just to get a comparable performing new graphics card (e.g. RTX3060 or 6650XT) you would be looking at £330 by itself.

As above, double check the ram configuration, fit an nvme ssd (if it hasn't already got one), and it will be decent.

Potentially you could also drop in a 5600x, or even a 5800X3D, and be not far from a current top end gaming PC

Exactly what I'd do if I bought that pc. After a bios update, sell the 2600 and drop in a 5600

Thanks for the help guys, I am going from a MSI Laptop with an I7 6820k, GTX1070 and 32gb RAM.
What do you think the performance gains would be like? I will also be looking to overclock the system.

None.

The 2070 super is 40% faster than the 1070 in gaming and that cpu is old compared to the above spec in your first post.

I would want to know exactly what I was buying first so would want to know the exact model of motherboard, speed and how the memory is made up, make and model of HDD along with how old it is and last but certainly not least, the make, model and age of the psu. It's not such a great buy if you have to splash out to replace any of that.

Seems like the pc is a good deal but you never know if there are any problems with the system unless you can test it properly

Yes,, If the system is in good condition and the components are all in good working order, then £400 does seem like a reasonable offer. However, if the system is in poor condition or the components are not in good working order, then you may want to consider offering a lower price.
