Will be replacing my discs and pads soon on the Xsara VTS. I am still a little unsure on what combination of pads. I think however i will be sticking to the OEM Brembor Discs as the general consensus is to stay away from the dilled and grooves.

Now I'm having some trouble deciding on what pads to go with that, have been looking at the Black diamond Predator, Ferodo DS2500 and Mintex Varients. The BD seem to be within my budget come to about ~£60 but I’m wondering how much of a difference these uprated pads will have on the standard Textar pads from GSF which are about £40.

Any advice appreciated.

thought about greenstuff ones from gsf?
I've fitted performance pads before and not noticed any difference but then I probably don't drive it hard enough

On the GTi6 (same(ish) car) forum I'm on, most people go for Mintex 1144 pads on standard discs. :)

Or Ferodo DS2500, but I think they're pretty expensive...

Not too sure about the greenstuff pad, heard all they are good for is lack of brake dust and squeel.

Them mintex ones are getting good reviews. Are they good for normal use, like good braking from cold etc?

Are these the correct ones for the GTi-6/Xsara mine is a series one I think thats with the Lucas calipers..

Model MDB1732 for the Lucus/Girling caliper - I *think*

I don't rate greenstuff much to be honest. Don't think they live up to their name anymore.

Also take a look at www.buypartsby.co.uk for prices :)

EDIT - Hmm didn't try your link forst, not sure then sorry...

EDIT2 - Apparently after many orders from club members, MSW list the wrong part number :)

Pagid fast roads pads?

Pagid yellows are meant to be pig city (squeeeeeeeeel piggy)and a bit more pricy

Ferodo are pretty dusty by all accounts

Hmm insteresting cant seem to find the Mintex pads on that site for the Xsara VTS.
Some people rave on about the pagid fast road pads but they only seem to come to their own once fully warmed up? I want a set that will give me the best performance day to day and give me the stopping power when its needed.
