Advice on some problems

Hey folks, so the biggest problem im having with my new build is that it hangs when shutting down. It has done this a few times now and it first started when it was installing updates on shutdown. This went on all night then I realised there was something wrong and turned it off at the wall. Now it happens every so often and it gets stuck on "Shutting Down"

Any ideas?

Also need to take out USB Keyboard and plug it in again every time I turn on the PC. Its just a wee Labtec Keyboard but its to hold me over until I buy a Keyboard and Mouse from OC. So any thoughts on that?
