Hello, I am interested in video editing with Photoshop I am using the 3.2 system -not the fastest. I am considering moving to the core2 6400 or 6600 is it better to wait until April til the prices come down? It is being used for video editing What advice would you give me on overclocking safely to achieve the best result? As I am new to this and am interested in building my own PC what would you recommend I go with?
One more problem -I suspect that I have clicked and formatted my dvd drive by mistake Now I am getting this message -this file does not have a programme associated with it for performing the action Create an association in the Folder Options control panel. This procedure however will not work for me and I have tried to associate Power dvd to it but no luck either. Any advice or ideas on this would be most appreciated I know the power of the Forum you have guided me well on many occasions Thanks jOS

Hello, I am interested in video editing with Photoshop

well you have certainly picked the right software. photoshop is superb for video editing.

on the hardware front, i suggest you downgrade, as high spec components can hinder the photoshop video rendering process. photoshop also renders video best when combined with a cisco router, so see if you can download one

hope this helps you :D

Just asking about the spec's of your present pc to see if any of part's could be used on an upgrade . If cant find or workout the spec's of the old pc i would not recomend building a new pc by your self.

Back again, I found it hard to understand why because I did not know enough about the pc that only a couple would try and help, because of one member who now writes this -
Harvesting music and pornography, playing a small number of games for a couple of hours a day on average, trolling most well-known English Futaba imageboards, creating offensive animated gifs.
