Hi all,

I started a thread september last year with some questions and never I never got round to upgrading at the time.

But later on this evening I will be taking the plunge and hopefully buying a few upgrades.

So far I have in mind:

HIS ATI Radeon HD 6950 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (To replace the HD4870 512mb)

Kingston HyperX 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz (Replaces my current OCZ 800mhz RAM)

OCZ Vertex 2 "25nm Edition" 80GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive(Will re-install windows 7 professional onto this drive and hopefully a couple of games)

Personally I think these would be the three best performance upgrades for my current setup. I dont consider the CPU to be "out of date" as I'm sure its still capable with a good clock speed.

The current spec is in my Sig and gaming will be done at 1920x1200.

Thanks

Matt

I personally would not worry about upgrading the ram unless your having problems with your OCZ ram.

The rest definitely :)

The GPU is a no brainer to be honest. It is really holding me back now. I was looking at the Corsair water cooler for the CPU alone. Seems like a good buy for the H70 at £79.99.

Just ordered the HIS ATI Radeon HD 6950 2048MB and the 120GB SSD, I think id regret not going that little extra and getting the extra 60 gig.
