I'm surprised they haven't cancelled your card if there is a fraud suspicion. Halifax have done it straight away when I twice had to phone them.
When the change the card the old one is completely cancelled.
I'm well aware of that. They haven't done that for the OP though. If somebody has had their bank account compromised they should be cancelling the card straight away, as it can also end up costing the bank. In the case of the OP all he said they did was confirm some transactions were made. That to me sounds like either the OP isn't sure whether it's fraud, or the call centre operator doesn't know what they are doing.

Edit: I should say that I work for the Barclays claims team in Coventry. If you want to check the validity of that number you can do it on the Baclays site.
Not to sound racist but the Indian call centenary are ridiculous, I had to deal with one to cancel and Xbox live subscription, I ended up getting charged twice. Luckily Lloyds TSB use uk call centres. The banks earn enough money to hire English staff, all they have to do is stop buying yaughts![]()

Ahhh Westwood park. The place that never lets me in because of the stupid new policy of having to have a passholder "walk you over" to the other buildings.
That's the one!
Well next time I am there I will tell reception to "Call Geckovich ffs, he will come and vouch for me".
So today arrived some jewelry. Nothing that was purchased from that website. These are the 10 for a £1 type plastic bracelets. No return address. Now I am wondering what the hell is going on...
