advice on this please

I am looking at replacing an old nv 880gts.
Im thinking of either an ATI 7550 or an MSI GTX 460 Cyclone Overclocked Edition 1GB.

OK the MSI is really pushing my budget here.

I intend to run a single card and not xfire or sli.
I've a 750w Corsair PSU so power should be sufficient.

7550? You meant 5770 right?

At the moment, I say you should only decide between GTX460 768MB and GTX460 1GB for that price range. Or if you can wait, wait and see how the HD6000 series perform...so far it has both good and bad rumours about it in terms of possible performance though.

460 768, overclock it and you have the best performance to value card out there, the 1GB is not worth extra cash.

Yep deffo 460.. Great card for the money. Though i to would go for the 768mb, and save yourself £40.
