iv been looking into my new gaming machine for quite some time. iv added these parts into the cart what do you guys reckon? would it be a good first time gaming set up? im looking to upgrade as time goes on and as i get more money for the system.

I would get a 2500K setup instead of the AMD

The 2500K outperforms the AMD in every aspect

EDIT: Would also give you the opportunity to upgrade to Ivybridge when it comes out

i think i might change the setup to an intel one and see were it leads me regards to budget..iv got a feeling this is going to end up costing me some serious cash.

People say this so you get the software needed to play blu-rays but I actually got an OEM samsung blu-ray drive and it STILL came with all the software needed.

I guess that was maybe just lucky though? At least with retail it is guaranteed that you will get the software

Have a look at this thread. He also wanted AMD then we convinced him to get Intel :p It is much better overall, and definitely better for gaming :D

im going to get this lot ordered on tuesday minus the case, im going to be getting a cm hafx gaming case. so il get it all set up into that. much apreciated for speccing it up for me bud
