I have some Geil Value RAM.

At the moment it is set to auto on 3-4-4-8 with mem timing of 2T

I've read some threads which suggest this can be run at

2.5-3-3-7 with mem timing at 1T.

I've tried this and it does work though I need to Prime test it.

My question is about the less famous parameters which aren't usually mentioned. On auto these are

Row Cycle Time - 11T
Row Refresh Cycle Time -14T
Read to Write Time - 5T
Write Recovery - 3T

Should I change these as well and if so to what?

Cheers,

Nigel

You should be fine at 2.5-3-3-7, if Prime errors try bumping up vdimm to 2.7 and then 2.8V.

Those other timings you mention are pretty minor, you won't see much gain from using them, but I use:

RCT - 7
RRCT - 14
RtWT - 3
WR - 2

If your on A64, download a little app called A64 tweaker, that allows you to tweak a whole load of timings in windows.
