advice on undervolting fans

CAN ANYONE OUT THERE GIVE ME ANY ADVICE ON UNDERVOLTING CASE FANS

AND CAN THIS BE DONE IN BIOS IF FANS ARE CONNECTED TO MOTHERBOARD

Fan voltages go like this.

Normal speed 12volt yellow 12v wire and black ground wire are used by the fan.

Medium speed 7 volt yellow wire 12v and red 5v wire are used by the fan.

Slow speed 5 volt red 5v wire and the black ground wires are used buy the fan.

You can change the values by pulling the pins out of the fans molex connector and swapping places.

THANKS FOR REPLY & ESPECIALLY THE WARNING PART , SO IF I WAS TO UNDERVOLT TO 7V , WHEN I DO THIS ARE ALL PINS SWAPPED ABOUT OR ARE THERE ANY NOT REQUIRED ECT..........

JUST WANT TO BE SURE

P.S I TAKE IT YOU CANT DO THIS FROM BIOS

For 5 volt swap yellow with red.
