advice on upgrade for old pc

my son has been using my old pc for a while now and he's had some money for xmas so he's looking to upgrade it if possible , the spec at present is in my sig below , he has up to £250 to spend he mainly uses it for playing minecraft and call of duty type games plus web browsing , any advice on what would give him a good upgrade please

Tricky one, the q6600 is really old now, the 480 is a power monster.

Personally I would sell the current pc and put the funds with the £250 and upgrade the lot.
Keep hard drives and psu depending on what it is
