Advice on upgrade

I am planning an upgrade for my wifes pc, she is a gamer like me, currently playing Ac Unity, The Crew, Dragon Age Inquisition, Sims 4 and many other titles.

Current system is
i2500k
Asus p8p67
8gb
2tb HD
Nvidia 970 gtx (Galax)
Windows 7 64 bit
1920*1080 proview monitor

Not bad but we do see a little slow down especially on load times.

Am I right in thinking the biggest performance boost I will get with this system is a SSD followed by maybe an upgrade to 16gb.

We have pre-ordered GTA5 and Witcher 3

An ssd will make loading times a little quicker but no need for any more ram.

Is that 2500k overclocked? If not ban!!

It should hit around 4.5ghz with a decent cooler.

Not over clocked yet but will after the new ssd is in.

Just a basic 24" LeD proview monitor nothing special 1920*1080

SSD, OC the CPU and maybe go Windows 8.1? More RAM wouldn't hurt either, but isn't a necessity.

As said...ssd and decent cooler and get cpu upto 4ghz+ easy with very little extra vcore...more like 4.5Ghz with extra vcore

Just keep temps under 80c and vcore around 1.35v if poss...no more than 1.4v to be safe

GPU can be overclocked too but shouldnt be needed...buts it free performance
