Hi all,
Problem:
I've been having big problems with my current R9 280X over the last couple of months and it's making me consider upgrading. Currently, if I game for long periods (over 1h), my PC freezes and some solid color will appear (see pic below). The only way to get out of this is restarting the PC. My temps on my GPU don't go above 75c, and my CPU temps don't go over 50c, so I've no idea what's going on there.
My questions:
I was considering the gtx 970, but after doing some research, the r9 390 might be best for me, being that I have a 4k monitor and would like to game at a higher res than 1080p.
1) Soo first of all, which of these would you suggest:
- PowerColor Radeon R9 390 PCS+ 8GB
- SAPPHIRE Radeon R9 390 NITRO 8GB (£20 cheaper)
- XFX version, at the same price as the Sapphire, and has a very slightly higher clock speed.
2) I'm thinking of upgrading my BitFenix Neos to the Fractal Design's Define R5. Will these cards fit?
3) Lastly, I've got the Cooler Master Silent PRO 600W PSU - Is this sufficient?
Spec:
GPU: Sapphire R9 280X
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16gb
Mobo: Gigabyte Z77X-UP4 TH
PSU: Coolermaster 600w silent pro
Case: BitFenix Neos
CPU: i7 2600
Storage: Samsung SSD 850 Evo
Any help at all would be massively appreciated!
