Hello i would appreciate it if someone could give me some advice on an upgrade for my pc. I currently have the below set up but i am confident i desperately need a CPU upgrade. The computer will be used to play most games that come out or are coming out doom, need for speed, no mans sky, gta V etc.. I dont need to run them on ultra but would like to be able to run on high with smooth fps. Or maybe i should just save some money and start from scratch any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forums. :)

You are going to need a complete rebuild I am afraid. Your motherboard won't take any of the AMD FX cpu's so you can't drop a 8320/8350 in it for a quick easy upgrade. How much do you want to spend? What res do you game at? Which R9 200 series gpu do you actually have?

Welcome to the forums.

You are going to need to rebuild unfortunately. I think the best bet would be to save up and make a fresh build rather than spend money trying to upgrade an obsolete platform.

A 3GB R9 200 suggests one of the 280/280X cards. AFAIK they're the only ones that have 3GB VRAM.

Thanks for the welcome.

Its a sapphire amd r9 280 3gb. I thought a rebuild was going to be needed found this bundle https://www.overclockers.co.uk/8pac...locked-quad-core-gaming-bundle-bu-050-as.html .

My plan is to buy a chip set and keep my graphics card then get a new graphics card in maybe about 6 months. I want something that is going to last at least 2 years so would i be better getting a better chip set or is this one ok?

Thanks
