Advice on upgrading from my X800GTO card?

I running quite an old system. I was wondering is it worth or even possible getting a new graphics card for my system?
Should I also be running the latest ATI drivers with such an old card like mine
or just stick with 6.11 drivers...

Skt939 Amd althon Xp 4600X2
2GB RAM DDR1
K8n Platinum
ATI Radeon X800gto (R340)
6.11 drivers...

Not sure what brand PSU [300-350W]
Would like to play Crysis, Far Cry2 etc...

based on the rest of your spec I think the best choice would be a 4670

The card above shows support for PCI Express 2.0.

Would it also work with PCI Express1 on K8N Neo4 ?

[Edit] PCI-E 2.0 is backwards compatable
