Advice on upgrading HDD in hp gen8 micro server

Could someone give me some advice on how to upgrade HDD in hp gen8 micro server ?

Do I just turn off the server and change the HDD i want to replace ?
Nothing wrong with the old one just got a larger drive.

Do you have spare HDD slots?

Do you want to copy the contents of the old drive to the new?

I have 2 spare slots,
Yes I would like to copy the contents of the old mirrored drives to the new one,

I have 1 3tb drive and one 4tb drive mirrored, I want to replace the 3tb drive.

If it's mirrored you should be able to pull the 3TB, replace it with the 4TB, and then let it rebuild. Exactly how will depend on how you've done the mirror.

Is the extra TB on the 4TB drive empty at the moment?

Make sure you have a backup, although the pulled 3TB will still have a copy of everything.

Yes, 1TB of the 4TB should be empty, they are mirrored as 3TB.

Once it's rebuilt you should be able to extend the partition easily enough.

Would it not build as 4tb ?
if not what would i need to do to change it to 4tb ?

How is the array configured?

When you were setting it up from scratch what did you do?

I setup in the hp setup bios i think its called hp ilo.

Raid 1. Array 2, array one is the OS SSD
