Advice on upgrading

Hi, I am wanting to upgrade to get a bit better performance and would like to hear any suggestions. I'm not wanting to spend tonnes of money. I've been thinking about getting an XFX Radeon HD 6850 or 6870 and an AMD Phenom II X4 3.4 GHz black edition, Thanks.

current specs:
Asus M4A87TD/USB3 (AMD 870)
AMD Athlon II 250 2 x 2.9 GHz
Corsair 4GB XMS3 PC3-10666 1333MHz ddr3
ATI Radeon HD 5770 - 1 GB XFX
700w Psu

if the rig is performing acceptably at the moment, i'd say hold on to your cash till you can afford to switch over to the intel i5k

It is running ok at the moment but im not really wanting to get a new mobo so I would rather stick to amd.

that's my point. if its still doing okay now, then just save your $$$ till you really need to upgrade
amd's offerings at the moment are terribad compared to the i5k
i dont think it'll be wise to invest your money in a 2nd rate platform
