Hi

I have a PC which I have no idea really if it is capable of gaming at any level. I am a total newbie with any of this. I have a Intel core i7-8700K cpu @ 3.7GHz and just the Intel UHD graphics 360 card. What would I need to improve on for gaming and speed of my PC?

If you stick a RX 6600 in that PC, it would play pretty much anything @ 1080p.

What is the motherboard, RAM and PSU?

That is the info for the PC

Motherboard and ram are fine. Motherboard seems decently large, so I assume there's plenty of room in your case for the graphics card?

What is the PSU?

For reference, a 500w should be enough to drive that with some overhead. Using a RX6600XT and an SSD, 7200k SATA, three fans should see you pull 350w and with some overhead 500w will be fine.

However, thinking ahead, it you need to replace it, a decent 750w should probably be your minimum to aim for.

Let us know what you have and we can make a recommendation based on that feedback
