Hi,

Ive really got into project cars 2 , Im looking to invest in a wheel and pedals.

Never used one before on a pc i think the last one i used was on a ps2

Just need abit of info on what to go for ?

Ive been looking at the g29 but then some people say the t150 is the better option.

Or i could look at used t300 budget is around £150-£200.

Cheers

I would look at a T300 Ferrari set, with the T3PA pedals. If you can find one for a good price, but it's more expensive than a T150 / G29, and probably unobtainium on the second hand market.

The G29 is a good wheel, but it's old tech. I have one (well, the PS4 version), does the job. The rim is a bit small.

Don't know that much about the T150, I have read the motor and gear are better than the Logitechs, but the pedals are inferior, so I would also be looking at the T150 pro (which has the T3PA pedal set).

Or if you can find a cheap DFGT second hand, or an equally cheap T150, I guess they would be worth a punt for a low cost option.

The t300 with 599x rim and t3pa pedals is good if you can stretch to that.

Cheers guys.
Im looking at the t300rs gt its got everything apart from the 599x rim.
Its an extra £100 more then what i wanted to spend but looks the best option.

more expensive wheels bring more realism.not make you faster.so in your budget as people have suggested a g29 or thrustmaster similar wheel would surfice. on a budget a logitech DFGT is a nice wheel.many mod these and actually prefer them to higher end stuff.

T150s a good wheel pedals are rubbish though. Ive got a t300 with 599 rim and its in different league, its a very nice rim, 30cm wide and alcantara make it feel much more realistic especially in vr. The t3pa pedals are ok but i upgraded them for the fanatec csl elite mainly for the load cell brake.

I think the t300 is similar to my t500rs, it's an awesome wheel for pcars :)

Well all i can say is WOW!!!!!!
I never knew a wheel and pedals would change my experience so much. I went for the t300 ferrari alcantara edition racing and im so glad i did the rim feels amazing. i couldnt make my mind up between this one and the gt one im so gald i went for it.
Just done a few laps around red bull ring on pcars 2 i love it!!!.

Thanks for all the info guys.

I just need to sort my desk out now . might have to save up for a stand.

:D:D Yep on my wish list already.......Then a triple screen setup...... and then vr..
Then a direct drive wheel and custom rim and a set of heuskenveld pedals and a new dedicated rig to house it all. oh and a set of racing gloves and shoes and a motion system and some tactile transducers. Goodbye £10000:D

There is also a mod on ebay for the conical brake mod, it is a softer rubber so it makes the braking better, I am sure a load cell is better but the brake mod is about 12 quid so is a good option. Type in T3PA brake mod on ebay and I think they still have them available, definitely better than the default brake mod.

Was looking at them, one seller was selling different colours is one softer then the other?

Im still trying to get used to the one thats on.

Im Gutted just getting into sim racing and the t300 has stoped working :(.

it started the other day i was racing around and the rim went out of alignment so had to race with the rim at a angle. thought it might have been damage to the car , so tried the next race and same problem?

then it just got worse tried re calibration manualy and auto works for a few laps then out again.

now trying to re calibrate manualy and it locks up after a few turns on the rim.

Its like the forcefeed back is stuck on and locks the rim up

and it looks like thurstmasters are rubbish to deal with.:mad:.

Ill Be talking to place i got it from on tuesday see where i stand.
