Hi all,

I'd like to go to holiday in Spain with my friend and his wife.

Now I've never been to Spain so I need some advise please.

We know that we def' do not want to go where all the chavs go - lol

So please advise.... Marbella?

Thanks

The city of Barcelona is fantastic, and all along the Costa Brava are amazing little towns with stunning beaches with barely an English person to be seen, Calella de Palafrugell is a gorgeous little town.

seconded, spent a week in Callela de la Costa at begining of july and had a fantastic time. Barcelona only a short hop away and the beach and town were lovely. Stayed at the Hotel Santa Monica. Plenty of bars along the front practically giving beers away, 7 pints for thirteen euro!

Depends what you're looking for really. I go to Granada quite a bit, it's only an hour or so from Malaga airport but it's still a relatively unspoiled city

We have just been to Vigo, Cadiz and Seville. These were only day trips from our cruise but they were gorgeous cities. We had a guide which also helped.

i just got back from barcelona on friday.

absolutely awesome city and great beaches too.

take care to stay away from big brazilian hookers, one of them pickpocketed my mates mobile. eek.

I liked Alicante very pretty. When I went there (I think it was the end of June) there was a massive street fireworks display! It must have cost thousands and thousands.

I also enjoyed going to Calpe... quite a small town but very picturesque. :)

I Just got back from a resort just of salou and wouldnt recommend it to anyone. The place itself was fantastic, beautiful beach and nice hotel but I found the people very unfriendly, we actually complained to the hotel manager about the attitude of the bar staff :(

Salou itself is far too crowded and there is nothing to see, only good if your going for a boozing holiday.

we holiday on the costa blanca and hire a car, this coast ranges from blackpool with sun(benidorm)to completely unspoilt areas where they have rarely seen a tourist
something for everyone
