I just bought a OCUK system: Ultima Xeon 3350 2.66 @ 3.3+, asus rampage X48..etc....vista x64 pre-installed
I buy pre-built systems these days as I have little time anymore to be building my own.
I had thought that the system would have been overclocked out of box, but system information shows the cpu running at 2.66
I'm so out of touch with overclocking I have no idea how to set this up.

I'll start searching myself, but any advice/links to overclocking this cpu (or or Q9450?) and mobo would be welcome.

Hmm, I just d'loaded cpu-z, which shows the cpu running at 3.33ghz...I assume Vista doesn't always show overclocked speeds?

that's true. Vista doesn't always show correct clock speeds.

Best way to check for yourself is look in the bios and read the fsb speed + multiplier
