Basically follwing the huge thread about me and the wife splitting there are a few bills left outstanding.

We paid the Gas/Electric on a quaterly bill. Im struggling to pay the latest bill and im wondering if i should in fact request some money from my ex to put towards these rather large bills. Considering she gets over £230 a week now i dont think its unreasonnable

I rang to see if i could get prepayment gas/electric meter fitted and pay it off that way but got told they take £6 a week towards the debt before i get any credit to actually use. I cant see me having more than a tenner a week to put in so im going to be left with £4 a week to use

The Water Rates were in her name but since shes left ive discovered she has made no payments on the water account since we moved here last august

Also, im not to happy that should i get a full time job ( currently working part time ) and i get £150 a week after deductions then im going have to give her £60 a week maintainance for 4 kids. My rent/council tax will be £80 a week leaving me a tenner

It just makes my blood boil that im described as the absent parent when its not my wish to be absent

Yeah ive already switched to a different supplier so i can start afresh but im still going to have to pay british gas , i just think she should contribute toward it.

Sorry! I should have clarified - they have some people who are very knowledgeable about the legal aspects... might be worth a look?

Sorry - probably looked like the least helpful post ever!

Good luck :)

Time to start looking for a job that pays more money. £60 for 4 kids is nothing.
