hey, i've got an asus a8n sli se mobo, chipset fan is on its way out (heard rumours this happens a lot), tried WD-40 etc, not working and i need a replacement. problem is i got an Arctic Cooling NV5 Rev.3 fan on my 6800...... i got like 15-20mm of room above the chipset, ive seen people using the zalman passive cooling but its too big (could maybe chop some of the heatsink up to make it fit??? but then probs wont work properly).
can anyone recommend a decent after market fan that'll work with my set up??? The one i brought isnt compatiable with my mobo and i'd rather not waste any more money. also i'd prefer not to use another crappy fan from asus if i can help it, makes SO much noise!
