Advice please!

Perhaps the Pass Plus system is viewed as meaningless precisely due to so many people taking shortcuts in achieving it?
I would agree with you there. I was pointing out that it is almost the norm to have very few pass plus lessons, not saying that it was the right thing to be doing. At the moment the system is far too easy to get round, as proved by people getting it signed off after only having had 1 motorway lesson.

I don't know if it would be possible but perhaps they should have specialist pass plus centres as opposed to getting the pupils original instructor to sign them off.

This is always going to be the problem when you allow "just anybody" to sign off for a qualification.
When it comes to taking your driving test then generally speaking you have to meet the grade to pass.
I'm sure there are the odd "dodgy" test people who would accept a few £ for a pass, but generally speaking it isn't going to happen.

Passplus as we can see from this thread can just be signed off from the driving school with no test required.
So they can take your money, give you next to no lessons and then sign you off as fully passed.
If an insurance company is offering a discount for people with Passplus then of course the person isn't usually going to complain - they get their discounted insurance for a pretty minimal outlay.

All very silly.

i'd either ask for the sheet back to say you did pass (which you wont do or you wouldn't have made this thread) or get your £80 back off him. You might as well of just drove about in your car for 2 hours then chucked £80 out of your window...
